PERCUSSIONANTE!  LA BANDA DEL SURDO’S STREET SHOW

Percussionante!, LA BANDA DEL SURDO’s show, is like a stroll through world rhythms and the imagination of the band members. But the passion the percussionists and dancers experience on stage and their total surrender to the audience makes it—better yet—a hypnotic voyage halfway between street theatre and a discotheque rave, between the most ingenious rock concert and the ¡AZÚUUCAR!  of a carnival parade.

Percussionante!, a street performance that's got percussion and rhythm as its main characters. Bass drums, goliaths (floor toms), beatboxes, rumberas, bells... The band’s repertoire includes African, Latin, or Flamenco themes plus its own creations. Afro, merengue, rumba, hip-hop, cachimbo... Any loud rhythm with high doses of good humour is an excellent excuse for spectators to quickly catch the energy that the musicians emit as they play.

LA BANDA DEL SURDO STOMPING THE STREET!
La Banda del Surdo
transforms any space—streets, public squares, discotheques, concert halls, etc.—into a stage within a matter of seconds, without even using microphones! The percussionists, accompanied by their dancers-stilt walkers, go into the audience to draw in the street; their direct contact, our shared sweat, the emotion of the moment, the power of the drums, the beating of our hearts, the rhythm that calls us and moves us.  Percussionante! is a purely versatile and adaptable show to all types of spaces and acts (parades, street theatre, concerts, festivals...).
